Earlier this year I was blessed to be asked to work on a FuseProject product and design some new fabric for the charity underwear scheme PACT. PACT is the brainchild of two amazing entrepreneurs Jason Kibbey and Jeff Denby and one of the world’s best humanistic designers Yves Behar. PACT underwear is always designed with a cause in mind, and sells in order to raise awareness and much needed funds for each cause. I designed this underwear fabric in aid of ForestEthics. It’s a real pleasure to be involved with Jason, Jeff and Yves on this, especially because just a few months ago we saw PACT being featured at London’s Design Museum as one of the design projects of the year. Everything FuseProject produce is pure gold, for it’s design and ethics, they can’t be faulted.
This year has been crazy, we had a baby boy back in January, that beats everything else, but aside from that little wonder I’ve had the best year’s work I could imagine, and I think I know why. I used to busy myself with endless projects and collaborations, just for the creativity of it, just to do ‘cool’ stuff. But this year I made a pact with Fi to only spend my time on two things… client work and charity projects. Somehow, this has changed so much of me and my business, above all, it’s brought structure, credibility and focus, and I’ve already decided that next year will be the same, maybe better?
